In the Vadaš meadow near Štúrovo, a thermal spring with a temperature of almost 40 °C was discovered at a depth of 130 meters in the 1970s. A spa and recreation complex, VADAŠ THERMAL RESORT, grew up around this source, which today, including its accommodation capacities, covers an area of 32 hectares.
Among the biggest hits are the massage bubble pool (36 °C) and the Lagoon pool – the largest artificial wave pool in Slovakia (27-29 °C). The overall picture of the complex includes waterslides, sports grounds, attractions for children, vast grassy areas intended for relaxation, a beach with sun umbrellas and many other services.

Catering is available at the hotel restaurant, and in summer there are also around 40 buffets with quick refreshments available. Accommodation is provided by a tourist hostel, bungalows, cabins and camping.
In the newly opened Wellness Center of Hotel Thermal, 3 pools with thermal water, a whirlpool with a beautiful view of the Esztergom Basilica and a sauna world await you. All this over an area of 900 m2. The new center was opened at the end of January 2018. In the sauna world, you have a steam sauna, infrared and Finnish saunas, a salt cabin and experience showers with light and sound therapy at your disposal. The wellness center is directly connected by a corridor to Hotel Thermal.
