It was built in the second half of the 16th century. Originally it was a Late Gothic structure. When Nov\u00e9 Z\u00e1mky was in Turkish hands, it was rebuilt and served as a mosque. In 1693 the church was restored by Archbishop Gy\u00f6rgy Sz\u00e9ch\u00e9nyi, whose coat of arms can be found above the main entrance. In the 19th century the church was rebuilt to its present form.<\/p>\n<p>The interior of the church features the main altar with a painting of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, side altars, a pulpit and an 18th-century organ.
