The design was drawn up by the Schwartz couple from Komárno, with Ing. arch. Ivica Schwartzová as chief architect.

A year later, in 1998, the foundations were dug and poured. Our friends from Minnesota and local members of the faith took part in the work. In 1999 the walls were built, and a year later the building was roofed over. The construction of the church was carried out by the firm H&O Construkcion of Ing. Ivan Orság. Significant contributions to the construction of the church were made by the Municipality of Iža, the Seniorate Office, brethren in faith from America, Germany, the Netherlands and Hungary, and, not least, the local congregation through several collections and voluntary work. Then, because of a lack of funds, work on the building halted for several years. In 2010 a painting appeared on the rear wall of the church by the hand of the academic painters Peter and Pavel Mester. It depicts scenes from the New and Old Testaments. At the turn of 2011–2012, with financial support from the Gustav Adolf Werk association of Germany, the church was completed to its present form.

On 16 June 2012, in the presence of the highest Church representatives, representatives of the Municipality of Iža and guests, the church was solemnly consecrated by Milan Krivda, Bishop of the Western District, and handed over for worship.

[108
113
post-1414","zaujimavost","type-zaujimavost","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","kategoria-programov-with-culture","obec-iza
["GET
