CITY COAT OF ARMS \u2013 KAKATH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A memorial stone depicting the history of \u0160t\u00farovo (a work by Juraj Bartusz).<\/p>\n<p>The coat of arms of \u0160t\u00farovo is formed by a slightly pointed, late-Gothic shield with two blue fields symbolising the confluence of two rivers: the Hron and the Danube; in the centre of the shield is a gold triangular wedge symbolising the former ground plan of the city walls, and in the gold wedge a red rooster&#8217;s head facing right. The rooster refers to the oldest name of the city, Kakath, and the red colour refers to the fires the city endured.
