The former Grand Caf\u00e9 was built in 1889-1901. During the First Republic it became the property of the Agrasol company. After 1938, the Economic Gremium was based here; the ground floor was used as a caf\u00e9 under the name Zlat\u00fd sud (Golden Barrel). After the end of World War II, the caf\u00e9 was abolished and a branch of the Soviet Danube Flotilla moved into the building.<\/p>\n
The building is located at the intersection of Leh\u00e1rova Street and the Danube Embankment, near the drawbridge connecting the town with Elizabeth Island, whose continuation is the Elizabeth Bridge, the SR\u2013HU border crossing.<\/p>\n
The building has many preserved historical architectural elements.
