Patince Spa

Description

The use of thermal springs in Patince has an ancient tradition. Documents from as early as the 13th century write of warm springs with healing effects and the existence of baths from Roman times.

The thermal water from the Patince springs, with its beneficial effect on the human organism, is also mentioned in his work by Matej Bel. Count Nedetzky had baths built around the spring, where ailments of the limbs were successfully treated. On 10 October 1953, on the proposal of Dr. Ondrej Stollman, the Patince thermal spring and its surroundings were declared a protected area. The first of the wells is located by the thermal lake, about 1 km north-east of the village of Patince.

The mineral water has a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system and its diseases. The water temperature reaches 26–27 °C.
