The Chapel of the Holy Trinity was built by Jakub Škultéty in 1722. In its grounds, in a common grave, rest the remains of Anton Bernolák, his successor, parson Štefan Laurо, and the merchant and founder of the girls’ institute Michal Flenger. Around 1890, parson Ján Fabián had them reburied there after exhumation. In 1937 a memorial plaque was added to the grave.
Bernolák Square is named after Anton Bernolák, who lived and worked here from 1797 until his death in 1813. The funeral service was held in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, and he was buried in the cemetery by the Chapel of the Holy Trinity.
