The history of Patince
People have enjoyed the thermal water of Patince and its miraculous effects since ancient times.
As early as the 1st century it was discovered by Roman soldiers encamped in the neighbouring village of Iža. They used the water from the local springs to treat intestinal and stomach problems, skin diseases, and also musculoskeletal problems. The first chemical analysis of the water was carried out in 1735, and the first thermal bath was built here in 1882. The thermal water in Patince reaches a temperature of 26°C and contains a significant amount of minerals beneficial to human health.
